Anika Slawinski is a wife and mother to four children. Her daughter, Leilani, lives with 5p-minus-Syndrome. Anika is a fashion designer, book illustrator and a children's book author. Anika wrote a bilingual children's book about Leilani's life with 5p- syndrome! Although, Anika & Leilani and the rest of their family are Germans, they lived in the USA for two years. Leilani was actually born in North Carolina. They have lived in Asia for the past thirteen years but as of Summer 2024 they call Germany their home.
Anika would like to help support the 5p- minus community by advocating for the acceleration of research for her daughter's rare disease.
